Xiaorong "Sharon" Horton has been a REALTOR® in the state of Maine since 2005. She now holds a "broker" license.
Since Xiaorong started her real estate career, she has been working at Realty of Maine, and has helped numerous clients over the years. From local first time home buyers to the dream home hunters from away, from house-flipping investors to distressed homeowners seeking short sale, Sharon is always right by their side throughout the process. Her clients benefit from her in-depth industry knowledge, detail-oriented organizational skills and deep-rooted Chinese money management wisdoms. She has earned many awards over the years, including the Platinum Club for 2021.
Xiaorong deeply cares about the community she lives in. She is one of the founders, and currently serving as secretary for Maine China Network, promoting mutually beneficial, long-lasting business relations between Maine & China. She is also a member of Three Rivers Kiwanis, helping to build a better community & region, dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. She recently joined the board of directors for Pine Tree Hospice, a non-profit organization providing local non-medical support to individuals with life-limiting conditions, caregivers, and those grieving. She is also a member of “Friends of Milo”, an Ad-Hoc group working to improve Milo.
Prior to moving to Maine and becoming a Realtor®, Xiaorong worked in Iowa as a Mechanical Engineer Consultant for ALCOA Davenport Works.
Before she came to the States, Xiaorong worked, studied and taught at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. She has a master degree in Thermal Dynamics Engineering.
